Piedmont Orthotics Laboratory LLC, (POL), established in 1971, has been serving the medical profession for over five decades, providing the finest in quality custom-made orthotics.
During this time POL has experienced substantial growth by realizing that service to their clients was equally important as orthotic fabrication. Because of this philosophy, much of our growth can be contributed to referrals from satisfied medical professionals who want the best for their patients. To maintain our high standards in quality and service, and to combat rising costs in a dwindling skilled labor market, we looked to technology for the solution. In April of 1991, POL became one of only four orthotic laboratories in the United States to utilize Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and the first on the East Coast. Since then every major orthotic manufacturer has realized the importance of automated systems and has adopted some form of automated system.
POL was the Beta testing laboratory for Osirusoft Research & Engineering. Developer of OreTek software the heart of our manufacturing system. With the most advanced software in the industry, Osirusoft is dedicated to the ongoing, development of software and hardware capability to further enhance the performance of the system.
